Travis Turner, LPC

Travis is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over ten years of experience in the Mental Health field. He has a master’s degree from Sam Houston State University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CACREP Accredited), with an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University.

While coping with depression as a teenager, Travis felt a calling towards counseling. He subsequently developed a passion for helping people with trauma after losing several family members to related issues. While studying at Texas A&M, Travis refined his skills by volunteering for over 500 hours at the Student Counseling Helpline, a 24-hour resource for college students experiencing mental health crises. Travis has worked in several settings, including community mental health clinics, psychiatric hospitals, and residential substance abuse treatment.

Travis was born in Houston, Texas, and married his high school sweetheart in 2008. He loves spending time with his wife, reading, traveling, cooking, and playing video games. Travis and his wife are kept busy with their four dogs, snake, bird, and rabbit.
